I know you don’t trust Bitcoin due to it’s instability, but if you ever do decide to, I will donate. I do not trust online payment companies like paypal, dwolla, or skrill because they tend to freeze accounts for little reason, and it has caused me no small amount of irritation. I am a very casual visitor and user of your services, but I like your work. I don’t know if this is the proper place to send this message, but I tried e-mailing once before without response.

Re: Donation. How about cash? I have some Euros left from my last trip; if you provide a mailing address I’ll put them in an envelope (wrapped) and mail them.

You can also send money via bank transfer.
Details are in the donation email you receive.
It’s easier to dump that cash ony our bank, and send it by bank transfer.

Hey, I signed up and sent you guys money with skrill. Within hours they froze my account on some random bull about suspicious activity audit. If there gonna be like this, i wouldn’t be surprised if they end up just like your paypal account. Id start looking for other options now.

    Just a friendly heads up.

    Keep up the good work.

      Thats normal.
      PayPal does also random pinpricking.
Just send them a message that it was a legit transfer, it’s just sometimes they pinprick on possible abuse.
You might have been suspicious sending money, it can happen, same shit happened at PayPal sometimes.

If you still have a problem getting your account unfrozen, let me know, I might be able to contact them that it was a legit transfer.

Will paypal ever be back as a donate option?

Nope, unless they stop deleting people’s accounts.

So I tried to go through Western Union and they are asking me to double check the first name of the Receiver (I typed/copied exactly what was sent in the email). It errors out every time I tried to send money. Has anyone else had the same issue or know what needs to change?

Seems to be something wrong with WU. Will let power to all get in touch with you with details soon please. Thanks.

This is not the way to accept donations. It should be dead simple. Don’t require an e-mail address to send instructions to, display the instruction right away! And make it dead simple. One button should suffice. I don’t care what payment system you use, as long as it’s secure, but at least don’t make it a hassle.

No wonder folks aren’t using it.

Dead simply eh? He he, do you even know what PayPal says when they lock your account? And people are using this method and have been using it for a while just fine. Our accounts don’t get flagged for mentioning or placing a link of a payment company and we all go home happy. Thank you.

Why not do something like set up an amazon account and sell a “Member card” for different prices ($5, 10, 20, 50, 100). You don’t actually have to have a membership program, just take the money and put it into a real bank account. Everyone loves amazon.

Will see if I can set one up then. Been reading about it and it’s quite complicate, but we see. :)

Looked at Amazon payments and it looks dead simple. Quick and easy to implement. Fees are
low, as well. Amazon customer service is everything that Paypal is not.
